A Herring Opera, 26 minutes, made in Sitka, Alaska in 2017
Using opera music performed by the MIT Symphony Orchestra, this film examines the complicated and controversial flurry of action in the spring in Sitka when the herring spawn.
Funded by National Geographic and made in collaboration with the Sitka Conservation Society.
